What Happened Last Year
Section 4 might have been a little mis-seeded, but things mostly came out right:

Semifinal #2: #3 Gentry beat #2 White Bear Lake, 18-5
Section Final: #1 Stillwater beat #3 Gentry, 6-5
Notable Players
Stillwater
2026 Indi Capelle (Stillwater) - Committed to Florida State - D1
Role player last year with the 11 2025s playing…and still had 64 DCs.
2025 Mady Richert (Stillwater) - Committed to Maryville - D2
54g/17a/71 points coming back is going to prove to be the #1 scoring weapon for the Ponies.
2026 Marit Wolden (Stillwater) - Committed to Florida State - D1
Listed as a D-Middie, but played mostly defense last year.
Gentry Academy
2026 Sam Hohn (Gentry) - Committed to Clemson - D1
The offense is all hers and we expect an increase of her 87 points.
2026 Ava Davis (Gentry) - Committed to Missouri Western - D2
Has super great numbers…let’s hope that Gentry’s schedule grows from whats currently on laxnumbers (because its not on Gentry’s rSchool page) and she proves that out again against some big shots.
Hill-Murray
2025 Frannie Primoli (Hill-Murray) - Committed to Wellesley College - D3
Super aggressive on the ball defender.
2027 Mac Murphy (Hill-Murray)
Breakout season for the 2027 with 97 points!
2026 Alayna Deering (Hill-Murray) - Committed to Eastern Michigan University - D1
Pretty nice follow up on offense to Murphy…They’ll have both for 2 more years (and Murphy for a third).
2028 Olivia Braunshausen (Hill-Murray)
We told you we were over hyped on HM. But an 8th grader recording 79 GBs and 46 DCs is worthy spending 25 words on.
Mahotmedi
2025 Annie Tanner (Mahtomedi) - Committed to Niagara - D1
Leading scorer is coming back for senior season, along with 8 other 2025s.
2025 Addie Demars (Mahtomedi) - Committed to Missouri Western - D2
8.55 GAA/52.9% save percentage to anchor things for the Zephyers.
Roseville
2027 Mia Huntley (Roseville)
47 points and 54 DCs. Pretty impressive for a 9th grader with the entire field team coming back. Lots of scoring opportunities for Roseville, but feels like this is option 1.
Totino-Grace
2025 Kirsta Munsinger (Totino-Grace) - Committed to Regis - D2
37 points, but some silly (and…intriguing) non scoring stats: 68 GBs, 72 FTs, and 81 DCs.
2026 Layla Jackson (Totino-Grace)
49 points and 41 DCs.
Projected Items of Interest
Honestly, the entire section is of notable interest. Its kind of in the same ranges as Sections 2, 3, and 5 as competitiveness goes.
First reaction - Stillwater will run through Section 4 like they have since 2022. Not so fast.
Stillwater lost 11 seniors, most of whom were contributors all over the field. They bring back major factors, but thats a lot of experience and leadership.
WBL also loses a lot, 9 2024s graduated, led by their 2 D1 commits and their goalie.
Gentry lost only 5 seniors, 4 were MAJOR contributors. They also are rumored to be losing their top returning defender and one of their rising stars (see our Gentry review).
Things start to get a flipped a little on its head in the section here.
Hill-Murray. Gosh…we’ve been down this road before. Here we are…high on HM…again…they lose 2 seniors, have a lot of high flying underclassmen that are a year older and starting to get committed. They also have Frannie Primoli on year 2 post knee injury to lead the team and the defense. Our continual hype of HM is 100% due to our private school bias. Obviously.
Mahtomedi, who beat #4 Mill-Murray, loses only 3 seniors, the largest contributor being Evi Cegielski. They have scoring, defense, and a committed goalie coming back.
Roseville…lost 2 seniors, both of who were goalies. 9 2025s are back, and literally all scoring coming back…they just need to find someone to put in cage.
Totino-Grace feels like a school that could/should be using their “resources” to get more out of the transfer portal. They only lose 3 seniors, none of them on offense.
