Instant Reaction

I think we can safely say that 2024 is going to be the year for White Bear Lake.  Essentially all their production is returning.  Lost (4) seniors in total and have (10) 2024s that should be back, including (2) D1 commits.  Section 4 is shaping up to very spicey.

The Future

Like we said: 2024 is going to be the year for the squad.  (3) girls with grad years 2026, 2027 or 2028.  Hopefully the 2028 has some buddies on JV in 2024 to fill the gaps in 2025.

Stat Crusade

In our crusade on assist percentage…White Bear Lake assisted 59/177 goals scored…33.3%%. 

For the record the past teams were 59.1%, 50.1%, 34.8%, 67.4%, 58.7%, 55.7%, 33.3%, 38.2%, 44.5%, 50.7%, 57.9%, 31.5%, 24.8%, 52.1, 48.8%, 48.5%, 31.0%, 41.8%, 66.2%, and 33.3%

2024 Schedule?

13/13 games are already scheduled out.  CDH, Park, Woodbury, Stillwater, East Ridge, and Blake.  Honestly…feels like they are underdogs to Stillwater and a maybe even a slight edge against the rest.  All of them are winnable.

Interesting Nugget No One is Talking About

Everything is back and a year, stronger, faster, smarter and tougher…with a chip or two on their shoulder.

In Conclusion

We feel ourselves getting WAY too hyped on WBL.  Sorry squad…trying really hard not to jinx you.  We will be keeping a very close eye on things…the top 4 in section 4 feels like Stillwater, Gentry, WBL, and Hill-Murray…but not necessarily in that order, with a little Mahtomedi and Mounds View sprinkled in.  Feel free to make some noise so we can point to this write up.  And if you flop, no one reads this anyway.
