Game 1 Recap – State Tournament: East Ridge vs Stillwater

Stillwater’s Tori Liljegren did not play.  On crutches and with large knee brace.  She’s an integral part of this team – thoughts to her and her recovery.

ER got on the board first, despite the early pressure by Stillwater.  Generally a very sloppy start to the game for the players and the refs (too many whistles).  We’re going to chalk it up to nerves for everyone.

Stillwater scored 3 unaswered to go up 3-1.  ER answered to tie it up 4-4.  Stillwater scored a late one to go into half time up 5-4.

Second half, Stillwater squeezed things a little tighter on ER, going up 9-5 with about 10 min left.

We don’t have the stats, but Stillwater dominated the draw circle in this game and that was the tone throughout. 

Stillwater coasted from there, ending with a 13-7 win.
