Instant Reaction

A big 2023 class moves out - will the equally big 2025 class to move in and solidify their spot in the program?

The Future

As a preview to our Interesting Nugget section, they had a 2027 defender play 10 games.

Stat Crusade

In our crusade on assist percentage…Bloomington Jefferson assisted 81/194 goals scored…41.8%.

For the record the past teams were 59.1%, 50.1%, 34.8%, 67.4%, 58.7%, 55.7%, 33.3%, 38.2%, 44.5%, 50.7%, 57.9%, 31.5%, 24.8%, 52.1, 48.8%, 48.5%, 31.0%, and 41.8%.

2024 Schedule?

13/13 games scheduled: ready for take off! Highlighted by Rosemount, BSM, Orono, Chanhassen and Blake.  Not bad, but could be more stout, if they want to be considered with the state’s elite.

Interesting Nugget No One is Talking About

Of their (7) 2023s, (3) were defenders that played at least 14 games each.  That’s a lot of leadership and production in front of their D2 goalie.

A sign of growth is that the 2027 we talked about earlier…she is listed as a defender and they had (2) other defenders returning that played in 15 and 13 games respectively.   Is this an opportunity for that D2 committed goalie to lead a young, but talented set of defenders?

Bonus nugget:  their top (3) scorers and (4) out of (5) scorers were 2023s.  Lots of production for Jones, Jensen and Ruble to pick up…but they’re going to need a few others when they play the deeper teams in sections.  That Rosemount regular season game will be a fantastic litmus test.

In Conclusion

Opportunity for Bloomington Jefferson.  The bones might be there for a competitive team, but looking at the production from last year…last year might have been the year to really make the push.
