Instant Reaction

We watched a fair number of East Ridge games on stream last year and were really impressed with the Limperts.  The numbers bear that out 8 months later!

The Future

They rostered 30 (!) girls on MN Lax Hub.  Holy smokes.  The problem with that is that (22) of those (30) were 2023s or 2024s.  However…

Keira Limpert had a fantastic sophomore season as a do it all middie for the Raptors.

They also have (2) 2026s and (1) 2027 rostered (a goalie).  Of course they had (3) goalies rostered, so who knows what was going on there, but there are players in the pipeline for East Ridge.

Stat Crusade

In our crusade on assist percentage…East Ridge assisted 149/225 goals scored…66.2%.

For the record the past teams were 59.1%, 50.1%, 34.8%, 67.4%, 58.7%, 55.7%, 33.3%, 38.2%, 44.5%, 50.7%, 57.9%, 31.5%, 24.8%, 52.1, 48.8%, 48.5%, 31.0%, 41.8%, and 66.2%

Secondary interesting stat:  Annika Limpert accounted for 105 DCs (out of a team 173 = 60.2%).  That’s a little wild.  105 puts her 3rd in the state behind Julia Evens (BSM) and Sivanna O’Brien (Lakeville South).

2024 Schedule?

13/13 games on the docket.  Woodbury, Stillwater, Lakeville South, CDH, Park, White Bear Lake and Rosemount.  We are happy with that - they should be too.

Interesting Nugget No One is Talking About

We’ve talked about it, so its not really “NO ONE”, but almost half of their 2023 roster are seniors this year.  This year could be good, but we need to see who some of those youngsters from the Woodbury youth program will be at ER, Woodbury or Park.

In Conclusion

Annika Limpert made a lot of things go around for the squad in 2023, but we see paths for replacements of that production.  (19) returning 2024s and 2025s suggests that East Ridge is an experienced team, who played in the state tournament, and could be a real factor, again, in their section this year.
