Section Review: May 31

A few interesting games today!

Upsets - 5/31:

1. Section 4: #9 Mounds View 11 @ #8 Irondale 10

Another 8/9 match up. Wasn’t the only good game though!

Other notable games - 5/31:

1. Section 8: #3 Moorhead 8 vs #7 St. Cloud 7 - OT

   1. We were able to tune in and catch the last 9-10 minute of this game.

   2. SC took a 7-6 lead as we tuned in and was doing a great job of stalling out for the win.

   3. SW tied the game at 7 with under a minute lefte and had a chacne to win in regular time, but SC made a HUGE save and kicked the ball away as time expired

   4. OT - SC won opening draw and controlled possession for first minute or so

   5. SW forced the TO, got ball to Sydney Martinson, she ran 2/3 down field and buried the game winner from about 5 yards out.

   6. Definitely upset alert, game of the night, and a fun example of playoff sports!

2. Section 1: #3 Lakeville North 16 vs #6 Rochester Century 7

   1. so…we might have been wrong on that Rochester Century pick

3. Section 5: #4 Wayzata 7 vs #5 Hopkins 2

   1. Wayzata ruined the dreams of DTA darling, Hopkins

   2. Nice picks clueless lacrosse commentators

4. Section 5: #3 Blake 9 vs #6 Armstrong 6

   1. PMAC called this that it would be a good game

5. Section 8: #4 Buffalo 17 vs #5 Monticello 6

   1. Monti Magic went poof

   2. PMAC called this one out as being close…appears Bison Blvd has not taken too kindly to once the biggest bobo of Buffalo talking back to them!
