May 31 Playoff Games

DTA Nation,

I can’t get enough of playoff lacrosse, playoff nhl hockey, and don’t even mention NBA Playoffs (no seriously, don’t, not a fan)…let’s take a look at tonight’s action and see if I can prove that I am still clueless.

Have to start with the civil war of Lakeville South vs Lakeville North tonight. Now clearly there’s a team who’s a major favorite in this one, but as we have said on the podcast countless times no matter how big one team may be a favorite it more times than not gets interesting. I’ll take North in this one, but I expect something weird to happen…even if it’s only for a quarter.
Blake @ Armstrong- Always keepin tabs on my boys over at Blake. They are gonna have their hands full with Armstrong who has been on an absolute heater for pretty much all season.
Monti Magic vs STMA- there may be some bias with the gifts from the Magic, but that’s enough for me to ride with them tonight. A couple of 500 teams who had a close one in the regular season, I expect this to be an absolute barn burner. I could see this going to OT, nothing better than free lax in the playoffs.
Rogers @ Wayzata- I smell an upset in this one, I feel like Rogers has a chip on their shoulder and has grinded out a solid regular season and are primed to make a little noise tonight.

I’ll take a little stab at the girls games tonight without looking at the sources notes. Wonder who picks um better….

Hopkins vs Wayzata- Doubling down on fading the trojans, sorry Wayzata, nothing personal. Hopkins has been on a roll and they had a tight one in the regular season…I smell an OT game
Monti Magic vs Buffalo- obviously I am going Magic with my choice…if there’s a betting line I need those points that should be in their favor. I think they have made a lot of progress since their first game of the season, I see this one being close.
Blake vs Armstrong- dang, this is another one I see being close. I was really high on Blake and they are battle tested. Armstrong had some close ones as well…I’m gonna ride my Blake pick from earlier this season but again, maybe an OT game??

I am cheering for a ton of free lax tonight, make it worth the price of addmission for the fans. Good luck to all the teams!!
