Our Take

She doesn’t put up the points (yet), but we are keying on Indi Capelle this year. She’s a D1 commit, she was super crafty at the draw circle and maybe allowed the upper classmen to get the goal scoring glory. We expect a much more impressive scoring run this year.

They return 2 goalies who both got run last year. Atkinson had the most time, but they didn’t appear too hesitant to go to the bull pen when needed. Is this a case of…if you have 2 goalies, you don’t have 1?

2025 Maddie Richert led a very talented team in points, so figures to be the principal scorer this year.

Its always interesting to see who the newbies are coming out of their VERY strong youth program, so we aren’t terribly worried about them filling spots of the 11 graduates…its equally as interesting to see who from the program goes to Gentry, Hill-Murray, St. Croix Prep, Mahtomedi, or other other schools that aren’t Stillwater.

Regardless of that noise, Section 4 is going to run through Stillwater again and you have to unseat the Queen to get to state. Like it, or not.
