Our Take

First thing’s first…Paige Hagenbart was a BRICK WALL in the all state game. Wow. Good on you.

We have flopped back and forth on CP over the years. Not liking them, liking them, being meh on them. We weirdly find ourselves in the same position this year.

They lost 14 seniors, a lot with strong production all over the field. That’s flat out wild. They lost to mega leaders at the midfield and a HUGE chunk of their defense. But they have 27 players on the roster, so have the presumed depth to fill some of those spots.

They do have lots of pieces coming back, and expect Reese Hagenbart to be the head and shoulders leader on offense (literally and figuratively).

They have ERZ and Maple Grove from their conference schedule…and some solid (but not top echelon) non-conference games. We’d love to have had them mix in a top 15 N/C opponent or two. But they should have a 0 or 1 loss record heading into sections and then the pieces will fall where they may from there.
