Only 10 games on the schedule last night and it felt like a slow night! Absolute mayhem in the standings/rankings and it really makes the next 7 days of games extremely interesting

Woodbury 13 v Roseville 4: Woodbury has handled the weaker teams on their schedule this year pretty easily but Roseville has been better/closer than I expected this season. I thought maybe Roseville could give the Royals some fits, but, that did not happen. Woodbury once again sticking to their style of play with strong defense and ball control. At 10-2, I anticipate they are the 1 seed for section 3 at this point, even if they drop one to Blaine on Saturday.

STA 16 v Hastings 8: Like Woodbury, STA has been dominant against the weaker part of their schedule. They have played a much tougher schedule than Woodbury, so, I am curious on how that will transpire in the playoffs. They did lost to the Royals on game 1 and I would be curious at how that game would look played now. I think both teams have proven to be top 10ish worthy teams this year and could meet in sections. STA should beat Holy Angels but has their rivalry game with CDH to end the regular season. That will be a huge game for section seeding implications.

CDH 16 v Park 4: CDH has won 6 in a row. It hasn’t been the toughest schedule, but, not terrible and 6 in a row is 6 in a row. They are playing with confidence and if they upset STA next week, Section 3 becomes a complete wild card. I hope that happens, just for the sake of entertainment! However, they have Hastings and EP bookending that STA game, which could be a bit of a trap situation. Not an easy final week for the Raiders but if they come through that with 3 wins… they may have a case for the 2 seed in section 3.

Centennial 12 v Totino-Grace 7: Nice conference win for Centennial against a good TG team. TG’s Liam Gillard is a beast and if he was on a more notable team he’d get a lot more attention. That being said, the Eagles have put together a nice season and I could see them having a chance to upset someone in sections. Centennial adds a nice win to their resume as they will have to argue SOS in the section 7 meeting as Chisago sits undefeated with a weaker schedule.

White Bear Lake 14 vs Eastridge 5: This was my biggest surprise of the night. Eastridge has surprised us this season and has been far more competitive than we thought. They pass the eye test. White bear lake is a good team, we know that, but dropped a very weird game to Duluth on Monday. I don’t know the story there, but still, that was a game I expected them to, at worst, win, but most likely win easily. Great follow up for them though beating a good Eastridge team. Who is WBL? I have no idea. Close with Stillwater and Woodbury. Crushed ER. Lost to Duluth. Just another piece to the crazy season puzzle.
