1 goal game going to an out state team. Not sure NP is a metro team, but close enough.

Tale of Two Halves

PL started the game doing normal PL things, going up 4-0.  However, Chan, led by Zoe Zielinski, started chipping away at the lead, ending the first quarter with a 6-3 PL lead.

The second quarter was still more of the Storm.  They gave PL fits on the draw, and cut the PL lead to 1 two different times, 6-5 and 7-6.  PL scored two late in the half to take a 9-6 advantage at the break.

It looked like Chan was going to continue their good play, by causing a turnover right after a PL draw win, and ran down to score, which cut the lead to two, with less than a minute played.  Foreshadowing moment:  that was the last goal Chan would score.

PL poured the coals on, scoring 6 unanswered goals through the end of the quarter.  They dominated the draw, played hard on the ride, and on the rare occasion Chan made it into the offensive zone, the defense basically didn’t allow a shot.

The 4th quarter was even more of the same, PL scoring 7 unanswered goals, for a final score of 22-7…yes, that means PL won the half 13-1…and 13-0 if you get rid of the first 45 seconds.

We didn’t keep the stats and had to rely on the stream PxP and PA for some of the calls – at time of this this writing, PL has their stuff on the hub, but Chan…so this is heavy with PL info and hat we could figure out for Chan - we’ll update when chan updates hub.
