We have our 8 state participants and the upsets didn’t stop today!

Section 6: #1 Edina 10 @ #1 Prior Lake 9

Shout to out to the PL staff for putting up their streams all year, including the playoffs. We don’t mind getting to watch free lax at all!
The upset train continues to roll.
Another case of a tale of two halves.
PL looked pretty sharp and solid in the first half, until letting in a goal near then end. They still had a 8-4 lead at the break.
Edina kept the pressure on all second half, controlling possession, and keeping the PL offense away from the ball…and when they did, Uma Corniea had the door slammed shut, restricting PL to 1 goal in the second half and sending it to OT.
Edina won the draw in OT, and waited for an open cut against he man down Lakers and burried the game winner.
Edina has been a rock solid squad all year. Welcome to the state tournament Edina!

Section 3: #5 Simley 8 @ #3 East Ridge 9 (neutral site)

Our wildest section came to an end with Ted’s “I have a feeling” team winning the section!
ER had a 4-2 lead at half.
Simley won the second half to send our second game to OT, only to have ER eke it out.

Section 8: #2 STMA 5 @ #1 ERZ 7

Section 7: #3 Centennial 7 @ #1 Champlin Park 15

A rare radio broadcast (thank you QCTV)
We tuned in near the end to hear the announcers say it was a dominating performance by CP, with scoring pretty well spread out.
We are sure that the CP social media team will fill us in on all the details.
Announcers did say that this is their first appearance since 2015! CONGRATS!
