Instant Reaction

EP and Chan graduated huge potions of their team in 2023…but Minnetonka graduated only 1 player.  Talk about the experience leaders in the section.

The Future

The future in this case is really the present.  (8) ‘24s on their ‘23 varsity roster…losing only 1 senior.  If there was ever a year for Minnetonka, 2024 is the year.

Stat Crusade

In our crusade on assist percentage…Minnetonka assisted 105/207 goals scored…50.7%. 

For the record, our top 10 teams were 59.1%, 50.1%, 34.8%, 67.4%, 58.7%, 55.7%, 33.3%, 38.2%, 44.5% and 50.7%.

2024 Schedule?

13 games scheduled…another top program with basically their entire schedule booked out already.

Opponents of note are ERZ, Wayzata, Buffalo, EP, Edina, SWC (with THE Junior), Prior Lake, in addition to being another team to schedule the plucky Orono squad (man, we’re REALLY in the process of cursing them).

Interesting Nugget No One is Talking About

We talked about it several times, but their team is all back and a year older/better/more experienced. 

In Conclusion

Section 2 is starting to shape up as our favorite section this year.  Chan, Chaska, Delano, ED, Holy Family, Hutch, Minnetonka, Mound Westonka/PA, Orono and Waconia.  Chan, EP, Tonka and our newest Mrs. P-Mac’s Source’s cursed darling, Orono.  Kind of feels like we need to place Minnetonka as our pre-season 1 in Section 2…but this is NOT a section preview.
